The Enterprise Consortium of the Gulf Coast was established to provide technical assistance and vital programs to communities and entrepreneurs along the Gulf Coast region.

VISION

The Enterprise Consortium of the Gulf Coast (ECGC), a subsidiary of the Acadiana Regional Development District, will provide financial and related technical assistance to qualifying small businesses and/or entrepreneurs in ECGC's Target Market.  The objective of the financing will be to achieve targeted economic community development objectives, including increasing employment, creating new jobs, retaining existing jobs, leveraging private investment, promoting community revitalization and/or stabilization, and promoting new business opportunities and growth.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Enterprise Consortium for the Gulf Coast is to:

  1. Create jobs, generate income and operating revenue, build assets and enhance the skills of new, existing and disadvantaged entrepreneurs;
  2. Encourage and support disadvantaged entrepreneurs to achieve self-sufficiency by providing business, financial, and technology services and training;
  3. Provide training, technical assistance, capacity building and networking activities to increase the survival rate of "start-up" and existing businesses, using Federal, State, foundation and private funding sources.
